Scrapheap

Your bag is the build.

Buy junk. Weld it into better junk. Then try to make it fit.

Coming to the App Store and Google Play.

The pitch

Scrap Heap is a roguelike auto-battler where the interesting decision isn't which item is strongest, it's where the item goes. Everything you own takes up actual squares in an actual bag. The ballast rack is great and it eats a whole row. The corner crucible does nothing unless it's in a corner. The needle wants something next to it.

So you end up doing this thing where you know exactly which item you want, and you buy the other one, because the good one doesn't fit and you've got four seconds of patience left. That's the game. Fights resolve on their own; you don't control them. All the tension is in the packing.

Some specifics

Fifteen rounds to the boss. Beat it and you can cash out, or keep going into endless while the pressure keeps climbing and the payouts get silly. Eight heroes who genuinely want different things. Seventy-five items, sixteen relics, thirty-one abilities. Daily and weekly runs on fixed seeds if you want to compare with someone.

It runs on your phone, offline, on a plane, in a tunnel. No account.

What it costs

The first hero and a full fifteen-round run are free. If you like it, one payment unlocks the other seven heroes, endless mode and the ascension ladder. That's the only purchase in the game.

No ads. No energy timers. No subscription. No loot boxes. We didn't want to defend any of those, so we didn't build them.

About the data

The game sends anonymous crash and gameplay events so we can tell what's broken and what's unbalanced. No account, no ad identifier, no location, and nothing sold to anyone. The privacy page lists every single field it sends by name, because "we collect device information" tells you nothing.

Something wrong?

Mail info@thenextbeacon.com and a person will read it. The support page covers the usual stuff, mostly restoring purchases.
